Küsimus nr 6341

Hi!
Is it possible to take 3D-photos of a tooth at your clinic? Or otherwise find what's wrong?

I have problems with tooth D36, and dentist can't say for sure what is wrong. The root has been cleaned, but high in airplane when air pressure is changing I get sharp severe pain. Also warm drinks hurt sharply. I believe there are at least 2 possibilities, the root has to be opened again and see if something living is still inside - or there is micro crack, and tooth has to be removed. The tooth has furcation lesio and parodontal space is wider than it should be. I don't want to have a new root treatment if it doesn't help. Is it better just to take the tooth away? I had the same pain already before the first treatment.

Thank you for your help!

Hello Taina.
3D x-ray could be done in kliinik 32 and Tallinna Hambapolikliinik. 3d give additional information but not needed in all cases.
From your words its obvious that tooth that has been treated still has some problems.
To give definative answer personally i need to examine situation by myself.
Usually root canal retreatment could be performed, but success rate never is 100%, in case of crack or very little tooth structure, tooth removal and placing implant will give better long term prognosis.

Kind regards
