Aim: Introduction into modern techniques for jumping the bite Prerequisits: Basic knowledge in orthodontics Target group: Orthodontists The newly developed SUS device (US patent 5944518, German patent 9809324) enables orthodontic treatment for uncooperative patients as well as when treatment has been delayed and growth potential limited or when headgear or removable appliances cannot be used. The SUS device is inserted between the upper and lower jaw in the same way as the Jasper Jumper®. It has activation options and functions day and night, thus providing effective treatment for jumping the bite, temporomandibular reposition and retrusion without having to rely on the patient.
